THOUGHTFUL LEADERSHIP FOR WOLFEBORO AND TUFTONBOROHi, I'm Deirdre McEachern.I'm running for State Representative because I believe government should work for the people it serves.Families are struggling with rising costs. Young people can't afford to stay in the communities they grew up in. Schools are being asked to do more with less. And too many decisions in Concord are driven by politics instead of practical problem-solving.I bring a different perspective: decades of experience as a business owner, educator, and leader who knows how to bring people together and get things done.I believe in strong schools, thriving local businesses, reasonable taxes (where the ultra-wealthy and multi-national corporations pay their fair share), and protecting the quality of life that makes Wolfeboro and Tuftonboro such special places to live. Most of all, I believe our communities deserve a voice in Concord that listens, leads, and delivers results.Let's build a stronger New Hampshire together.

about
A Life Built on Hard Work and ServiceI’m a proud first-generation American who grew up in public schools and learned the value of work early. Putting myself through college taught me what it takes to build a life through determination.I started my career as an assistant to a receptionist and, five years later, became Director of Sales Operations for a 400-person division of an international tech company. That experience taught me how determination and collaboration create real opportunity.Since then, I’ve served in four key roles:Technology & Entrepreneurship: Director at three tech start-ups; co-founded a NH software company and later sold it back to employees.Master Certified Coach: Guided individuals and small businesses through growth and major transitions; authored You Only Live Once.Education Leader: Head of a pre-K–8 school; Board member advocating for fair teacher pay and strong academic foundations.Volunteer & Advocate: New Hampshire–certified Peacekeeper; volunteer with the Wolfeboro Watershed Association. Wolfeboro Festival of Trees Committee Member; Wolfeboro and Tuftonboro Lions Club Member, supporter of theater and the arts; active in church and youth programs.Through it all, one truth has guided me:“A dream doesn’t become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination, and hard work.” — Colin Powell
Why I’m Running
Wolfeboro and Tuftonboro have a long and steady history — more than a century shaped by a single viewpoint in Concord. But as our economy, our families, and our communities have evolved, our needs have outgrown a one-track approach.Today, we face issues that touch every household:
• Rising cost of living
• Limited housing options
• Strained schools
• Environmental lake concerns
• Increasing pressure on the state and local budgetsThese challenges didn’t appear overnight, and they won’t be solved by relying on the same ideas that have represented our region for generations.I’m running because it’s time to widen the circle. To bring more perspectives, more problem-solving, and more collaboration into our leadership.
Not to erase our history — but to honor it by building on it with fresh thinking and shared purpose.I believe in a New Hampshire where people are heard, where practical solutions rise above party lines, and where long-term planning replaces short-term politics. My commitment is simple:
To listen.
To collaborate.
To innovate.
To lead with steadiness and hope.Wolfeboro and Tuftonboro deserve representation that matches the strength, resilience, and diverse viewpoints of the people who call it home.I would be honored to earn your vote on November 3, 2026.
